Welcome to the world of knots. These are small projects stitched completely with French and Colonial knots. Once comfortable with the technique you will see that they work up quite quickly, resulting in a beautiful piece of needlework, resembling punch needle but much more finely detailed.

Each of our kits contains ( 1 ) an introduction sheet explaining how to get started, ( 2 ) an instruction sheet with diagrams illustrating the techniques for French and Colonial knots, ( 3 ) a larger than actual size diagram of the design, like a paint-by-number canvas, with written instructions to accompany the diagram, ( 4 ) the design itself, printed on a piece of heavy muslin, and ( 5 ), a needle, all packaged with a color cover sheet in a zip-loc bag. No.s 5 and 6 also contain templates, diagrams, and additional instructions for a scissor fob (incorporating the design ), a scissor case, and a needle case. You provide the thread. We use primarily DMC, with some from Weeks Dye Works.
